My state of mind: July 2008

Been real busy this period=) One of my busiest holiday in uni=)

Many things happened and has changed, what has happened will always stay with me as part of the wonderful memories, they are what makes up my life=) What's going to happen is up to us, we are the driver of our life=)

Do not pursue the past
Do not lose yourself in the future
The past no longer is
The future has yet to come

Looking deeply at life as it is
In the very here and now
the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom

We must be diligent today
To wait until tomorrow is too late
Death comes unexpectedly
How can we bargain with it?

The sage calls a person who knows
how to dwell in mindfulness night and day
'one who knows the better way to live alone'
The Buddha

Move on. Treasure the present. The future is now. =)

Singapore Garden Festival 2008 @ Suntec

Thanks to Derek from NParks for offering 2 complimentary tickets! Heez... Through the internship, I got to work with him on a case study on rooftop garden which is still on-going. It's really their big event and it's really an eye opener=)

There's really alot of display of landscape designs, flowers and greenery! *both level 4 and 6!*

Lunch treat for Tessa @ J8 Cafe Cartel

As promised, she made improvements in her Maths mid year exams so I treated her to lunch!

Highly recommended the Eastside Brownie Stack whee~~~ Super duper nice!=D

After which we went to shop around before I headed for another tuition, first time walking side by side, then realised she's really tall lah! She's sec 1 only and she is already taller than me!

Although I keep saying she's a weird student (which is still true), she is really intelligent and highly responsible=)

Worked hard for next exam yea? You can if you want to=)

Alright, she loves taking photos more than I do. Haha..

Note to coolX2 de Lee Le=) JiayouZ for your Chinese also yea! I know you can do it de=) Then I can have excuse to eat nice food muahahahaha...

Excursion to Zoo!

As part of celebration for Olivia's 21st bday, we went to the zoo! Thanks to PohX2 that we got 4 free entries=)

We walked almost the entire zoo... Had great time together=) Marcus really likes to do alot of explanations (very accurate somemore loh) and even demo loh muahahahaha...

Haha... Marcus wants me to say we act cute tog loh... If only Lin Yi joined us too, that will be so funny and rare!

PohX2 and Olivia! 1st time see them wear specs and take pic, still very nice!=) Although I seldom get to meet up with them, I always enjoy their company and I really appreciate them for always attempting to ask me out whenever they have outings=)

Then we prepared to go down AMK Hub for 18th MC appreciation dinner.

Finally saw Jun Han lah! Totally changed lah... Become so fashionable already *clapX3!* Happy for you=)

Had nice food and great time with the MC and the PDs from year 1s (going year2s already)=)

Thanks everyone in the MC and the year1s for all the effort put in to make DE Club so happening and full of love=D *muchX2 appreciation!* It's great seeing how everyone has grown together and shared much memories through the club=) May this continues on for everyone and for every batch=)

PFM Outing @ Science Ctr & Snow City

Huifang was the organizer!

She was so meticulous to msg everyone the meeting details and remind us not to be late.

In the end.... our ah fang came the last muahahahahaha... *shakeX2 head loh*

We had great fun inside, watched explosive demonstration on why we use helium instead of the highly flammable hydrogen gas for balloons, played with their weird mirrors that made my head even bigger, successfully solved that 9-piece block puzzle *the only motivation was that we are uni undergrad leh, cannot lose to the kids muahahahahaha*

Lunch buffet @ Carousel Royal Plaza on Scotts. *It's opposite Far East next to DFS, almost couldnt locate it hehX2*

Super high class for me lah! It's amazing coporate people ate there for normal lunch.

Super nice food. Lots of variety. Still~~~ I LOVE their desserts the most! YumX3! *SweetX3!*

In search of shaX2 ah ma's purple orchid. Sadly, we could not find it. Have to wait till CNY for the flowers at his ah ma's house to bloom. =)

Due to the bbq food and the super popular rockmelon sago made by Mervyn's mum, we decided to eat light.

CSIP Closing Ceremony @ The Treasury

End of civil service internship! Yippie!

8 weeks passed by really quickly...

The 1st day we came, we didnt know each other.

Now, we bonded through our presentation on MOE & MOT =)

Perhaps we may meet each other in the public service in the future=)

Went to surprise shaX2 after the closing ceremony.

Lied to him that it was a full-day event when it actually ended before lunch time. HehX2...

The sunflower represents how you always brighten up my days, no matter what happens. *I wish this will brighten up yours too!=)*

Last day @ MOE PDM
Thanks shaX2 for driving me to Mustafa late at night for last minute shopping=D Thanks to my mummy and bro for helping with the packing! *we packed all in less than 15 min lah!*

I tried all the food that I selected for the bag, they are really nice leh=) *I think my choice not bad leh hehX2*

Presenting my PDM colleagues! They have really good dynamic and they are super friendly=) Thanks for everything, especially for asking me out for lunch and showing your support during all my presentations=D

They were super sweet lah! Upon knowing that it was my last day, some even went to prepare presents for me during lunch time *appreciated!* Thanks for the thoughtful gift! I was really overwhelmed=D
